Moore Lifting
Art handlers are a breed apart. They are frequently built like offensive linemen but must move at times like ballet dancers. They deal with massive equipment but manipulate it in the finest of increments. They think of themselves as independent spirits but can synchronize their actions like a line of Rockettes. In no art project is this more evident than in the hoisting of a massive piece of sculpture to some great and unseen height. This project involved a Henry Moore bronze and a fifth floor roof garden at Yale University. A stellar performance.
